Our Story

The Beginning
In 2013, Mike’s father, a 63-year-old US veteran, underwent ankle replacement surgery, requiring lengthy recovery and rehabilitation. After physical therapy, he was unsure about engaging in physical activities, so Mike devised a fitness program to help his father regain confidence and mobility.
The Evolution

The program successfully boosted his father’s confidence, enabling him to enjoy hobbies like attending sporting events and golfing. This initiative inspired the creation of the MPR Senior Med Exercise Program, which also aided his father’s knee replacement recovery in 2018.

At MPR Med Exercise, our values guide everything we do. Our commitment to Independence shapes our programs, designed to maintain autonomy and encourage both physical and emotional self-sufficiency. We uphold Dignity by preserving and promoting the value and contributions of older adults to society. Our approach to Health & Wellness is holistic, combining physical fitness with mental and emotional well-being. We build Community by fostering a supportive environment where older adults share experiences, build connections, and find strength in their journey. Through Advocacy, we actively stand against ageism and champion the respect and inclusion of older adults in all facets of life.

Professional Impact

Mike pursued further education, earning a BSc in Exercise Science and becoming a certified personal trainer, medical exercise specialist, and nutrition coach. He managed fitness centers and developed a keen interest in helping seniors recover from health setbacks. His program addresses chronic conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and joint stiffness. Mike’s MPR Med Exercise Program for seniors incorporates nutrition, hydration, sleep management, and portion control. After extensive client testing, he expanded it globally through video sessions, providing comprehensive support to help older adults enhance their health span and longevity.
